Mental Health Law

For many years the firm has represented client's suffering from mental health problems. Mental health law is a highly specialist area of work. To represent clients with mental health issues solicitors must be a member of the Law Society Mental Health Panel.

We represent and advise clients in all aspects of mental health work including representation at First Tier Tribunal (Mental Health),  Hospital Managers Hearings and can attend CPA meetings. We are prepared to take instruction at short notice.

Our work is legal aid funded and if you apply for a Mental Health Tribunal you are eligible for free legal aid.

Court of Protection

We offer advice on health and welfare matters under the Mental Capacity Act 2005. We have the expertise and the experience of working closely with vulnerable individuals and their family to understand and protect their best interests.

The firm acts for clients who are unable to look after their affairs due to mental incapacity, mental illness or old age. This is a highly specialised area of law. We offer an extremely personalised service, working closely with our clients, their families and care professionals.

We have the proven ability to consider the often conflicting needs of P and other interested parties, knowledge of Court of Protection practice and procedure, and the ability to apply knowledge, rules and procedures in a practical and sensitive manner.

We strive to promote and support access to justice for vulnerable clients and offer reassurance to clients that we will represent their interests right first time to secure the best possible outcome.
