David Auld & Co. becomes first Morpeth Solicitors’ Firm to become “Dementia Friends”.

All the staff at David Auld & Co have undertaken specialist training on dementia awareness with the aim of making the firm a beacon in the promotion of understanding of those with a diagnosis of the disease.

Mental Health Law Partner Wadzi Richardson said “David Auld & Co have a proud history of representing those with a wide range of mental health conditions and this training very much chimes with our core values of inclusivity and respect for those with this diagnosis. The Dementia Friends campaign is an excellent initiative to shine a light on this often neglected area.”

Jennifer Bell from the firm’s private client department added “I found the training engaging and eye opening, I would strongly recommend that more businesses take up the challenge to become dementia friendly to make Morpeth a more welcoming and understanding place for those with dementia.”

The training was provided by Guy Kirk, of Home Instead South East Northumberland and Chair of Dementia Friendly Morpeth who said “David Auld and Co were keen to be part of Dementia Friendly Morpeth, and wanted to learn more about dementia to ensure their business is as dementia friendly is possible. It was lovely to meet their team - and great to have them on board.”
