David joined the firm in late 2018 as a partner from a leading Newcastle firm.
He qualified as a solicitor in 2003 and is a full member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Specialising in private client law, David can give individuals a full service in arranging their legal affairs. He is experienced in Wills and Probate matters and related taxation issues, commercial and residential property, especially agricultural property and when things go wrong when someone dies, he has a wealth of experience in advising families regarding disputed Wills and contentious probate.
He is described in the 2019 edition of Legal 500 directory as having "notable expertise in capital tax planning and the administration of high-value estates but also deals with agricultural property issues" he is also "singled out for his 'superb knowledge' in capital tax planning matters and the administration of high-value estates."
A Morpethian to his fingertips David was brought up and educated in Morpeth and lives locally with his family. He also serves the Town on both the County Council and Town Council.
