Sarah Tweedie

Sarah qualified as a solicitor in 2007 and since that time has specialised in family law. Prior to training as a solicitor she studied History at Newcastle University. Sarah has worked in Teesside and North Yorkshire before joining David Auld and Co. in 2016.
Sarah represents clients in all areas of family law including the following: divorce, dissolution of civil partnerships, financial arrangements following separation, domestic abuse, private law children cases where there are disputes over which parent a child should live or when they should see the other parent , representation of extended family such as grandparents in cases involving arrangements for children, public law proceedings involving social services.
Sarah is a member of the Law Society Children panel representing parents, extended family members and children themselves in cases where social services are involved. Sarah is also a member of Resolution and since 2013 has been an accredited specialist in the areas of children advocacy and domestic abuse cases. Sarah is committed to the Resolution Code of Conduct and will assist clients where possible to reach amicable settlements. However this is not always appropriate and Sarah is also an experienced advocate in the Family Courts dealing with both children and financial matters, providing clients with consistency of representation from the 1st appointment in the office through to Court.
Sarah aims to provide a professional yet down to earth service to assist clients in understanding and dealing with these complex cases at what is often a difficult and emotional time.
